For anyone that didn't see my review of these. I would definitely jump on these while they are here. Even if you don't like them, due to their exclusivity they sell for their purchase price here or GREATER when the drop ends. Really a win win and a good way to test out some excellent foxtex cans.

ZeosPanteraHey Z, I ended up returning my MK3's because I wasn't happy with the low ends and the high end was a bit too much for my liking. What I really wanted out of the MK3's was bass and I was getting the almost the same amount from my HD 598's. Would these be the upgrade I'm looking for? Or are the X2's a better option? I'm going to be honest, I'm looking for head shaking low ends. Or would I just be better of getting a sub to pair with my Rokit 5's?

WakeI have no first hand experience with the X2's, but the THX-00's are by far the best headphones I've ever listened to for electronic / bass music. My other headphones are 598 se and DT770 Pro's, the 598se are not really comparable (open back and all), and the THX-00's are miles above the DT770 Pro's. These pack a punch and will rattle your head around if you are listening to the right track. The way the bass reverberates with the wood is hard to put into words, you just need to experience it.

WakeThese certainly have more bass than the Mk3's. There are only a handful of cans out there that I approve of their excessive low end. These are one of them. TH900's are next and the DT770's last.

ZeosPanteraDo these really resell for the same or even more? Considering this is going to be a long and big drop I'm sure the people who have been trying to get a pair will be able to get them. It's just such a big purchase, and without being able to try them I don't know if it's going to be worth it. If you had to compare them to the MK3's mids and highs which I didn't really like would the TH-X00's be a whole different experience?

WakeYou will be happy with those. if you want something cheaper try the sony mdr1-a, they have good base, the X2's have good base as well, i have both. don't forget that too much base can be at the expense of other things and you don't want them to be cheap-sounding too boomy beats like HP.

WakeI'd wager this is a good deal. Here's a somewhat similar pair I found that have VERY close specs, and they're selling on Amazon.com for about $1,300. http://www.amazon.com/Fostex-USA-Headphones-Japanese-Magnetic/dp/B007G8UMP2/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1462818611&sr=8-3&keywords=fostex
You can find more spec details to compare on the actual manufacturer's website: http://www.fostexinternational.com/docs/products/TH-900.shtml#content-3-tab-tab

ukfan3108Agreed. There is nothing comparable for electronic music at this price point. These are just too good... the way the sound is distorted off of the mahogany... unreal. If you're an EDM/trap person these are your cans... skip the AKG/K7XX.
