I was surprised to learn that no ink cartridge comes with this pen. Therefore you have to find a local store or know what kind of cartridge to buy online (which I dont b/c I'm not a fountain pen connoisseur and pay more $ before it's usable.

scottdgThe pen appears to take standard international cartridges. You can get them cheapest on Amazon, usually, but jetpens.com or gouletpens.com are easier to navigate to find the ink you want. Alternatively, you might be able to check online if your local Staples or OfficeDepot has anything in stock.
I would suggest starting with cartridges made by Diamine, J. Herbin, or Monteverde in whichever color you prefer, though any standard international cartridge will work. DO NOT buy cartridges made by Pilot, Sailor, Platinum, or Lamy, since they use proprietary sized cartridges.
This drop does include a converter with the pen, though, if you want to get a bottle of ink. If so, any ink labeled as fountain pen ink will work fine. Avoid inks not specifically labeled for fountain pens, since they might damage the pen.
