adrian.cWhat do you mean? Is the flashlight safe or is participating in a drop safe? If you're asking about the light from what I can gather Foursevens is a pretty reputable company so I'd imagine their lights are safe. If you're asking about Massdrop I've joined 15 drops over the past year and haven't had any problems. The only thing with drops is that it might take a while to receive your package. Like I've gotten some packages a few days after a drop and others a few weeks after.

AmaltoIntrinsically safe mean that the electronics and switches and such are completely sealed, so in a work environment with flammables nearby, it won't cause an explosion.
And no it's not intrinsically safe, even though it's water resistant.
