How do you sharpen a blade like this?

The reason I ask is because I would sharpen a standard blade with a flat whetstone; I can't picture how I would follow a concave curve with a flat stone. I figure there must be some other tool for this.

creamsodaIf you don't mind buying a Lansky sharpening system (http://lansky.com/index.php/precision-sharpening-kits/) then they make they stone accessories (http://lansky.com/index.php/products/curved-blade-hone-pack/) for sharpening curved blades like a Karambit.

Just be sure to wipe off the blood first. Seriously though, is there any other application for this knife beyond gutting another human being?

GabrielSI needed a couple of them to really spruce up my velociraptor Halloween costume for next year, so I think that means there are two applications
