Clearly you need a lesson in physics.
Gravity would fall open by it's own right by simply holding the knife in the correct position, for example, a butterfly knife. Not applicable.
Inertia would be, holding the knife, thrusting along a particular axis and stopping suddenly, only to see the blade continue to move with momentum (under inertia) until it flew open. Not applicable.
Centrifugal force would be flinging it in a circular motion as described above for inertia, OR energy stored within the knife via means such as a spring or torsion bar. Not applicable.
The blade clearly opens because of an opposing force on the wave opener. This is not the same as inertia or centrifugal force, regardless of if it occurs because the user scrapes it against their pant pocket, it is by no means "automatic".

NonKonnektionIf you look as the poster said 30 seconds into the video the knife is being opened by being spun or flicked - not because it's catching on his pants.

Items that ARE or MAY BE subject to control : ....karambit.....
Any Australian that wants the facts on what weapons can and cant be imported rather than random peoples opinions can and should contact Customs at: information@customs.gov.au with details (including any links) of the specific item they are looking to import.

FsourcesIf you are so sure, why do you feel the need to post the link to the customs website?

BF3ACEThe link to the website is just so that others who are interested can investigate and that there is some basis to my view. I can't be SO SURE - there's a point when Customs make a judgement assuming the package imported is intercepted by them. My point is don't rely upon the opinions of posters here (including mine) no matter how big a hissy fit they have. Email / call customs and get the only opinion that counts.

SeemoreAs an owner of the karambit in question... there's no chance this knife will fully deploy by spinning this knife, at least from stock. I'm slamming my wrist with this knife in hand and it never fully deploys. Same goes for flicking, unless you use your thumb on the teardrop notch in the blade, but even that's a bit tricky.
