I have nothing to compare to, but I use these on my travels on airlines. I get approximately 8 hrs of play time on music/movies before I need to recharge. I carry a portable battery pack, so I recharge while I am switching flights, or anywhere else where I cannot plug in. I like the magnetic connectiin that shuts down power.
Sound was mediocre the play/pause button broke in a week then some plastic banding broke off now 2 months of use and they're completely dead and won't even turn on.
The sound quality isn't THAT bad but we are quite far away from being that sounds as good as Jaybird X series for example.
The magnet on/off switch is overall a good idea but the magnet are actually to weak for any kind of semi active actions like running after the bus.
I often found the headset to be undone and thus draining all the batteries even when just shoved in a side pocket of either your jacket or even your bag.
I will certainly not be buying them full price but if you can manage to get them under 40$, it's an okay deal if you need a spare set of headset or something you wouldn't mind too much loosing or break down.
They sit a bit awkwardly in my ears, but were ultimately worth the price in my eyes. It helps that my quality is really nice (while it sounds like others have not had the same experience). I use them mainly for workouts and taking calls for work.
I was expecting it a bit more from them to be honest, the overall sound was okay and clear but the build of it was not great. The magnet was not strong enough to keep them together and off so battery was consistently being drained. They also stopped working after a few months so was not happy with that at all
I honestly could not have expected better for what I paid for on Massdrop. The retail price is not worth it in my opinion, lots of other options. These were comfortable in my ears, I thought they have decent sound quality for a budget wireless earbud with these features. I never listened to music for 10 hours straight to see how the battery lasted but I don't mind charging it when it's dead. I think it lasts longer than my Bose Soundsport. A coworker at my office actually bought herself a pair because she really liked mine, I have heard no complaints from her... I got the carbon fiber version which doesn't look very nice up close. I would recommend if the price were lower.
