The GReddy Air Intake makes that wonderful sound because of GReddy's new multi-layer synthetic, deep pleated, dry filter. It's said to offer improved filtration and also increase flow without the worry of allowing contaminants to foul up the mass airflow (MAF) sensor. GReddy spent countless hours of research in the pursuit to squeeze every last drop out of the 2.0L engine.

Like the OEM setup, the GReddy system pulls air from the nose of the car in a ram-style arrangement. The performance gains are attributed to the careful air filter placement along with tuned variable diameter molded piping. The kit eliminates the resonator box and so-called "noise generator" from the intake system. The result, a better sounding engine to keep that grin on your face from fading away.
