These bluetooth speakers are no doubt exploding in popularity Personally, I don't care to listen to modern music in mono. Sure, it's not a big issue at parties where everyone is milling around, talking, and not concentrating on the music. Using a single speaker for music is fine as long as you're not cheating yourself out of hearing music as the artist/producer intended. I never really envisioned myself buying one of these. But I'm still intrigued by the concept. I bought one. I bought the one made by 808 that looks like a big black can. Very cool looks and it sounds damn good for what it is. I use it to listen to my local AM radio stations streamed from the internet. News, hate radio, Saturday morning fix your car/grow your garden shows, sports, etc. It's perfect for those purposes.

speidi1My small Fugoo tough plays at least 3 very discernible channels over Bluetooth from my phone. left end (plus button) speaker is left, right end (minus button) speaker is right, and the two faces play center speaker and base. I used this to verify.

AdamJHVery interesting. Their website indicates that the speaker has the aptX® codec for stereo via bluetooth. An FAQ on their website also mentions stereo with two speakers. I assume it's wired. aptX® codec is Qualcomm's system for CD quality wireless audio according to the aptX® codec web site. Definitely a plus that the Fugoo Tough XL supports that. Thanks for the info.
