This is a pretty fantastic lens. After 20+ years of shooting Canon (starting with film, ending with 5D-series and red-ringed, white lenses) the Fuji line has been nothing less than amazing. For the last 3 years I've exclusively shot primes, including the 14mm f/2.8 which was sold after 2 years to buy the 16mm, f/1.4, the 23mm f/1.4 (favorite lens) and the 35mm f/1.4. I enjoyed shooting primes, a lot.
On a trip 2 months ago the 16mm just wasn't wide enough and I broke down and got this lens, and used it on a trip last week. It's great, sharp, minimal distortion and for having OIS it doen't really chew through batteries.
My only minor gripe with the lens is the aperture ring. I've come to love the firm 'click' from the primes I use, and the hashmarks on the barrel of the lens. This ring is smooth through the whole range, no hash marks, kind of meh.
It's a 72mm filter size but honestly you're better off getting a step up ring to 77mm as they are not only more commonly available, it will reduce the chance of vignetting on the filter rings.
