I have owned this lens for a couple of years, and like it very much for the following reasons:
It's relatively light (under a pound for a 350mm equivalent is pretty good) and compact (<4.5") for such long focal lengths.
It pairs well with the XF 18-55mm zoom, as it extends the zoom range from where that one leaves off; it's the same filter thread size (58mm), and both can fit well into the same accessory pouch.
Yes, it's a relatively slow lens, but for long shots I'm often bracing the camera or using a tripod, or not wanting to open up all the way (as depth of field is so shallow at long focal lengths); consequently that's not an issue for me. The Fuji XF 100-400 is a great lens from what I've read, but it's not much faster, almost twice as long, almost four times heavier, and costs 10x this price. For me $200 for this lens is a great deal!
My only complaint is that focusing is slow, and sometimes the lens 'hunts'. So it wouldn't be good for action or wildlife photography. Other than that, I find it a handy little telephot to carry along conveniently in a not-to-big accessory pouch. It may not be one of Fuji's "stellar" lenses, but it suits my purposes just fine, and at this price I think it's an incredible bargain!
