Garmin Vivosmart is built with all the usual features of activity and lifestyle tracking, with an intelligent design that calculates goals and personal metrics meant to help the user improve on a daily basis. The accurate step tracking will calculate realistic daily goals based on data collected. Distance recording calculates from the accelerometer, while the calorie counter and computation features account for user data to provide personalized daily goals. A sleep monitoring feature keeps track of night movement and can silently wake you up with a vibrating alarm. Finally, play music, find your phone, or control a Garmin VIRB remote directly from your Vivosmart.

If a person remains inert for a long period of time, the body’s production of fat-burning enzymes pauses. When Vivosmart detects a user has been inert for an hour, a notification will pop up that will prompt the user to take a short walk, stand up, and get the body moving again.

Vivosmart is built to connect with bluetooth mobile devices, and will periodically sync up data to the free app. After accomplishing goals, users can achieve badges on the active online community and keep track of their progress instantly.
