We just added one day to this product to let it collect some more orders, hopefully we hit the lowest drop point! Share it on Facebook/reddit/twitter etc to get mroe people on board!
As stated, when ordering twelve three-packs, you receive a full Booster Box instead. However, when on the order page the shipping goes up for each pack requested. $1.75 for one pack additively, so $21 for all twelve three-packs. However, you receive a Box instead, so is the shipping cost the same either way? Or less if you order the twelve three-packs (a Booster Box)?

This groupbuy is not designed for selling boxes. But invariably, the question always comes up "if we buy 12 sets of 3-packs, will I get a sealed box?" We'll have another dragon's maze and gatecrash groupbuy for boxes setup in the near future. Massdrop users include those who want to buy boxes, and those who can't afford boxes and want packs instead. The way our fulfillment is setup is different from boxes and packs, and hence the cost structures are different (Boxes are really easy because the packaging is extremely straightforward.) For packs, we have different physical packaging and handling fees depending on whether people order 3, 6, 9 12, 15, 18, 21, etc. One of the major cost advantages that comes from groupbuys comes from product cohesiveness. When our warehouse/shipper doesn't need to find 20 different items on the shelves and then shove them into oddly shaped boxes, people save money (hence our booster boxes are among the cheapest available). TLDR; shipping is linear for the packs, it's not a great deal to buy 12 sets of 3-packs, nor is that the intended purchase model for this groupbuy (mind you, $105 isn't an awful price for a box, but yes, you can do better by about 10 bucks if you wait for our box groupbuy).

VellInternational shipping is cost prohibitive, so we are only offering this in the US at this time.

Why does shipping scale linearly? Booster box shipping for RR was $5, but here is $21.

you might want to add shipping information for this drop and for the dragon's maze 3 booster pack drop as well
The delay on this has been pretty ridiculous, but the way that vendors deal with shipments, I can't say that this is completely surprising for an endeavour like this. Almost every game shop I've ever dealt with has had to run a balancing act between 2-3 suppliers to keep their stock levels right. I know for gatecrash, the sales were huge and all but the biggest store in town couldn't keep up. Not to excuse the site, because clearly the logistics on this just didn't work.

I think there's no question in anyone's mind that these buys weren't handled in a desirable manner by Massdrop- and for that we accept full responsibility. As most of you know, we aren't TCG distribution specialists (despite the fact that many of us have played MTG for a while now), and there's a lot of quirks (and politics, surprisingly) in the way Magic cards are sold and distributed. RtR was a great success, but the fact that we closed it early was a drawback. Gatecrash, was our first "selling pre-release" situation, and Innistrad was a ridiculously large quantity of Magic cards. Each of these massdrops had their own unique problems and solutions, all with undesirable outcomes. We're working on cleaning everything up so that the next buy we launch will be much more efficiently run. There's been a clear demand for us to communicate with everyone more proactively, and I've added that to the top of my list if this ever becomes an issue again. Thanks to everyone for their patience.
I e-mailed about this a couple weeks ago while it was stuck at 75% and never received a response...
Here's my take on it, Chanel. You're right to have a gripe with it because the delay in shipping is ludicrously late. This may have ruined plans for deck construction for gameday or for creating drafts like some people have mentioned. (And coolstuffinc ended up having a deal that was even better) However, in the general scheme of things, I like the idea behind this site and I believe they should be given a second chance. It appears that, since try are a middle man, they are left at the mercy of their supplier to get the product on time. Perhaps this incident will result in more blatant disclaimers to the availability of such products in the future, but currently this seems like a PR disaster. I think they should give care tokens to the people that made formal complaints.
I haven't received mine yet and I'm getting very tired of waiting. Needless to say I will never buy anything from this site again. Starcity Games is selling packs cheaper than this and they would have arrived already.
Did anyone else not get their packs yet? Because I'm still waiting for them to arrive.
