It's 2 years after I've switched around all the switches on my Steelseries 6GV2 board (which had mx blacks in them, but some of them had key chatter) for the Gateron Blues. Let me tell you that I couldn't be happier. The click is amazing, the switches are perfect for both typing and gaming, and, although they're knock-offs of Cherry MX switches, I have yet to have a single one of them fail on me (some of the original mx blacks where chattering). Had to wait a bit more than I hoped for and had to deal with customs (although the order doesn't even hit the required >50$ to trigger customs inspection) for this. but overall well worth it. A bummer massdrop didn't include any swag (stickers for example), but hey, got what I paid for.

Works Well! If you don’t solider well it won’t work or connect well. Other than that I like the feeling of it.

Ordered the clear switches (120 ct). Got 119 switches. Luckily there's a very low chance I'll need all 120.
As far as the actual switches go, I've never used Gaterons before but these feel very nice.

The Gateron Greens have served me very well in my Ergodox Infinity. Loud and with a great heavy feel to them.

My go to switches. Great feel, and doesn't break the bank.

I make a handwired atreus keyboard using these switches (typing on them now), they keyboard turned out well, and its not too noisy for the office. I have only used 42 switches out of the 120 I received, but no dead switches so far.

Browns are tactile though too, right? I like linear and clicky, but I've not had a lot of experience with those tactiles that sit somewhere in between.
I just recently tried some Gateron Silent Blacks though and thought they were great. So I've ordered some Greens, Blues, Blacks, and Yellows from this current drop round. I guess I'm not a fan of Cherry MX Browns so I've been rather hesitant to try out other tactile switches. (Though I was all set to try Kailh Box Oranges until this "Stem-gate" ordeal happened.)

I think the browns have a very small tactile bump, but its not enough for me to notice. I have a CM keyboard with gateron blues and a broken das keyboard with cherry reds. I plan on removing the working red switches from the Das to make a small gaming gaming board. I also have some kaihl choc jades (low profile) coming in sept. I want to use these to make a portable keyboard to use with my tablet. I did pick up some PCBs for the IRIS keyboard, and will be building that next month when things get less busy around here... I'm using the rest of the brown switches to build that.
I don't have a ton of extra cash, and I love the DIY aspect of mech. keyboards, so I like building my own. Its awesome there are so many choices in switches these days, I only had a few choices when I got my first keyboards.
