I'm using this as a paper weight. Useless piece of shit I've ever backed on KS and disappointed to see this on Massdrop.

incidentfluxI've been using mine for over a year, without any problems. I also have the V2 and the V2+. I would whole-heartedly recommend this GO 1000 for this price. The V2 makes an incremental improvement in bass, where it appears to be tighter and individual instruments are better placed in an 3-dimenisonal space. You'd need to spend time in an AB comparison to hear it. This begins to pick at little details that become meaningless in the context when comparing this to the headphone jack of your PC.
The main advantage the V2 has over the GO 1000 is that the second output jack is a fully balanced TRRS receptacle. Going from unbalanced to balanced is like going from the PC jack to a USB DAC, any DAC or from "wow" to "WOW".
Here's another thing that is worth noting: Gavin from LHLabs joined this conversation and there is NO mention about whether Massdrop should sell this or not; no mention of whether it is covered by warranty or not. I know that we would first go to Massdrop and I also know that LHLabs stands behind their products.
Rithrade should have tried to address any issues directly with LHLABS

jerladDear all,
If you backed their KS, you'd know that their communication is terrible and they were late.
My MAIN issue with is that when I asked Gavin whether its compatible with IEMs and CIEMs, he said yes to which today I strongly disagree with.
When the product finally arrived, the volume controls were whacked, forever maxing the volume on a single button press. The community (not just myself) waited months for a firmware fixed; which he barred behind some sort of registration on the forum (which I am registered to). When prompted for download, it asked me to re-register, which of course wouldn't let me, because my email was in use. Resetting password did not help.
In between all these issues, I'm not the only one feeling frustrated and betrayed on what's suppose to be an superior product (which can't even do volume control correctly, really?)
The icing on the cake? I backed Gavin again for Geek Stream, and 1 year late on delivery, with really nothing much to prove for it except their "word" its coming.
Sure, the people and I who encountered this are a minority. But the conclusion is this, I experienced poor before sales and after sales service, filled with empty promises.
For reference, my humble audio experience is mostly CIEMs (not as much as averagejoe for sure) and IEMs and some of the more popular and mainstream headphones and can honestly say I'm not impressed with GeekOut.
