The noise issue is real. I have the GO 720 and can hear hiss on my IEMs. People with Shure 535s report very obvious hiss.
Also the volume jumping issue is a huge problem on certain systems and LH have not managed to fix that to date. The most worrying problem is every time you connect (or, for example, you accidentally bumo the unit and it disconnects/reconnects to the computer) it defaults to MAX volume one windows. The has resulted in blown earphones because the GO is so powerful, but more worrying than that is your ears.
Having said that, it will drive large headphones and even phones like the HE400 like its nothing.
TLDR; May be a good buy for headphone users but not suitable for IEM use at the moment. If the GO really had no issues with noise floor, would they be releasing the the GO 100?

slaineHE-400 was actually engineered to be easy to drive and has a fairly low impedance. But the Go, like the DACport, are definitely capable of driving phones that actually do have high impedances
