alanskiiiYup, that's a common thing. It's usually better to buy the PCB mount switches so you can just cut those posts off if you have a PCB that doesn't support them.
alanskiiiIt does say on the drop page (at least it does now) that they are PCB mounted, PCB mounted switches have an additional 2 pegs to help the switch mount to the PCB. Sounds like the CTRL doesn't support PCB mounted switches then. But yeah you should be fine to just snip those plastic legs off.

alanskiiiThis is exactly what I was thinking... thanks for posting!
alanskiiiI find it hilarious that the CTRL keyboard doesn't work with PCB-mount switches. Glad I didn't waste $200 on a board that requires unnecessary switch modifications!
equaluniqueI find it hilarious that you have to mention your useless opinion on a page for switches. My bad for not knowing there’s pcb and plate mount switches. It could of been any other keyboard tbh.
alanskiiiI find it hilarious that you're in a mechanical keyboard enthusiast forum and don't know that in order to make pcb mount switches compatible you just have to snip the 2 plastic prongs off. Maybe do a little keyboard research on your $200 keyboard and how hotswap boards work.
