Can anyone speak to the quality of this? Where it's made?
I have an old Marcato that's solid metal too like this but the bottom indent on the barrel has warn down over the decades making the bottom cap/press holder not stay on when after making a cookie or two would pop off. Is this bottom cap/press holder a screw or a similar locking mechanism? I can take photo if helpful.
Purchased the Wilton Preferred Press Cookie Press and it's not very good, I stopped using it as when fully ready with dough the teeth would miss constantly and consistently so very little would come out. When applying a lot of pressure to the top it would work but then it's either too much or too little ...so in the end only the last 40% of the dough would come out. It's not build to push a fully loaded dough.
Lastly, this seems exactly like this Marcato 8300 Atlas Classic Biscuit Maker Cookie Press is it not?
It says ABS plastic nozzles, but when I look at the photos, it appears that there is some ABS holding the plunger also. Can anyone speak to this concern?
I love these, super easy once you figure our temperature of dough and pressure needed (practice and testing), Easy to clean, with really hot water all dough comes right off.
YuXuanAvoid the unitasker, get a dishing scoop instead and some parchment paper. You can make piping bags with the paper and avoid the hassle of trying to clean that monstrosity.
