I am very disappointed. From confirmed order to backordered and now canceled. How come my order become canceled?

Unable to comment on the toxicity of the plastic. Perhaps someone can enlighten us, beside the BPA thing. I can tell you other than this it seems a good thing. Ive been able use it as a hose to clean me hands, bottom of pot, even cleaning a wound from a fall.
The pressure feature works well and the water seems to taste good from it. So far i would have to recommend it.

What's the difference between this drop and the last drop where people consistently received the wrong item or received an item that tasted and smelled strongly of plastic?

Got the 3L on the last drop. Soon as I opened the plastic casing I was greeted with eau d'new-garden-hose. Before first use I filled with a mixture of water and white vinegar and let it sit for an hour, then rinsed and filled with a mixture of water and baking soda. Let it sit for 24 hours like that (no leaks was good). Dumped the baking soda mix, rinsed well a few times, put some fresh water in and it was like drinking from a new garden hose. Bad enough that it actually irritated my throat. Glad it's BPA free - wondering what other chemical is being leeched into the water.
I reached out to GeigerRig customer service - will follow-up here after I hear back from them.

Probably BPS, or one of the other almost identical BPx chemicals that allows the manufacturer to label it "BPA Free".

UPDATE: The replacement from Geigerrig worked great for a while. A few months in, apparently the garden hose smell/taste started to get stronger and got to the point where the water was irritating my throat. Whatever coating they're using on the inside seems to not be very durable, and the main material seems to be downright toxic. Leaving a review to summarize everything I've experienced here, but as it stands, there's no way I'd recommend this product.

I've been using this for several years and I love it. The pressure and easy cleaning are wonderful. It's satisfying to let it swiftly filter water while doing other things. Works well with an inline Sawyer Squeeze. To save weight, I omit the air bulb and trimmed all but 1.25" of that tube, and shortened the drinking tube a bit. Also added a bit of cord to secure the top closure and hang the bag. The result weighs 160gms / less than 5.7oz. To inflate or deflate, I attach the stub and blow into it. (Do this at your own risk; as with a bagpipe or air pad, do not inhale, as there may be bacteriae, etc. in the air chamber.)

Does this have/leave a taste to the water? I have a cheap bladder that I stopped using because the water tasted like plastic.

Any chance for cheaper international shipping? Amazon ships this for 10$ internationally, so currently with international shipping it is $2 cheaper on Amazon...

I use my Geigerrig bladder in my hydration pack on family day hikes. The pressurized system is great for getting water to multiple people and keeping dirty kid mouths off of the bite valve. My son always drinks plenty of water when we are out because he likes me shooting the water into his mouth; kind of a game. For cleanup the system breaks all the way down for cleaning and the bladder is capable of being turned inside-out and placed in the dishwasher. The only negative I can think of is that the air in the bladder takes up a lot of space so make sure to have your gear packed before airing up the bladder. Otherwise this is a great, high quality hydration system that is easy to clean.

Ohiopaddler...2nd that. I found i was using the pressure system from the first hike to clean scrapes while after negotiating steep mountain tracks. I also used it to fill my pot for boiling dinner, which reminded me that i was likely carrying too much water on the downclimb.

I like my 3L so much I'd buy another but I don't need it. Used my for about 3 years and no issues. The only bladder I've ever used. Satisfied totally. Use on 3-4 day backpacks generally.

Doesn't seem to fit my daypack. Too long to hang on the hook, at least according to dimensions from REI. 3L multi-day for sure though, my doubts are gone. I find it interesting though, you posted that you barely take the bulb. I thought that was the whole point.. I want one to push water through an inline Sawyer. Supposed to speed up a gravity config too, when filling up containers for camp?

dandelionI haven't used it in the manner you describe. I do push water thru my dirty water bag into the sawyer then directly into the geigerrig while the geigerrig is still in the backpack. There's a fitting for that process sold at REI. Works great. That way, you don't need to remove the bladder from backpack to refill it.

Does the squeeze bulb pump air into the bladder? I'm confused. I try to bleed out any air when I fill my hydration pack so I don't have to listen to the annoying sound of sloshing water every time I move.

Thank you. The description didn't mention that part but, based on the reviews, it makes sense. Nobody wants to listen to their hydration pack sloshing.
Mike11CNo, there is a separate air chamber, behind the bladder chamber, which inflates, so you can have a water tight seal inside your bladder chamber but being provided with positive pressure from the air chamber.
