Here is my totally personal sound preference review (I like Treble and Mids and not heavy bass). I have the GMP400 which I bought here on Massdrop. I also have the Beyerdynamic DT880s (relatively new, less than 10 hours of listening), Sennheisser HD600s (Very old pair with hundreds of hours of listening), B&O H6 ver 2 (used daily at work) and HifiMann HE400I (probably less than 40 hours of listening). Build quality is plastic with the two cords instead of a single cord. However these are exceptionally light. Lightest off all my headphones. They are very comfortable. Sound quality in my opinion only is better than the DT880s (my DT880s have a high treble sound which the GMP400s don't). Sound Quality is less than my HD600s, B&O H6 and HE400I. Consider though that I paid $500 years ago for my HD600, and $300 each for the H6 and HE400I. These are 1/2 that price. For 1/2 that price they are very good. If i didn't have the other 3 more expensive ones these GMP400s would probably be my favorite. As elira said below in reply to Boombap the have "detail in the sound" and are a very nice pair with a reasonable price. They are worth it.
