ChugsTeaI think it's important that MD properly sets expectations here. Also, this is a 5 day drop and we've gone an entire day now with no response to the most popular question in this discussion.
My guess is that it's PVD coated, given the $80 price point. It seems ridiculous to polish something to such a luster and then leave it to tarnish.
Maybe @YanboWu or someone from MD that's managing this offering could weigh in here and set the facts straight?

DustyMeatsI'd like an answer to this as well, otherwise I might as well order something made of Alu or wood from someplace that has them in regular stock.

Two steps for the coating/finishes
1) PVD coating - so it is not going to get rusty/dull
2) Polished by buffing wheel
