Everyone wants the card, but NOBODY is buying. Do you think MD will get the hint, NOPE !!!!!!!!!!
RalphRomano2
What hint is that? I have messaged many times that we are selling these cards to the community at the lowest prices we can. We are pretty much breaking even here. Its not the retailers/etailers jacking up the price. Its not even the distributors/vendors here in the states that are jacking up the price. Its the Manufacturers oversees who are doing it for reasons that have already been discussed over and over.
Trust me when I tell you that I will always bring the best possible deals to the community that I can. There is more information on this subject here... https://www.massdrop.com/buy/msi-geforce-gtx-1070ti-titanium-8g-motherboard-bundle/talk/2046253 and here... https://www.massdrop.com/buy/aorus-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-11g/talk/1976701 Cheers.

Then we agree to disagree. Stop pretending I don't know the business. I have been in this field for over 30 years. I got sick, and had to close my business. By Christmas, I will reopen. You could and should sell these at 540 MAX. If you did you would make a ton of money on these. You don't have the overhead of a business location, locked into a specific location. You can and should sell them cheaper. Again, we agree to disagree.
Cheaper on Newegg...
11 purchased... How is the price ever gonna go down if we keep buying them at inflated, low supply prices? $615 is still very high for this card. At launch this would have been fine, but as long as these have been around now, new stuff should be around the corner and MSRP is down $100. Not worth this much at all.
Yo massdrop, is this a bundle or no?
TheCrispyJoLi
Good Catch. No we are not offering anything along with the cards this time around.
If you where selling the TI version for this price, maybe.
Official MSRP of a TI is around 700-800.
And a regular 1080 is NOT even worth no where near 1000$(maybe for a price gouger), so 615$ is still not worth it on this card. As It is no more than 580$ at most.....
So, I will skip on this one.
If this sold for 530 ish or less, it would sell off the shelves. At this price, nobody will care. Tired of people trashing other places to purchase this card, like MD is doing someone a favor here. The sole purpose behind massdrop is to do JUST THAT, sell it much cheaper than other reliable places. This falls VERY SHORT to everyone expectations. I need at least 4-6 cards for my rig, but I'll wait. I will NEVER EVER feed insanity pricing like this. As bitcoin drops in price, these will slowly drop too.
superbiiz selling 4/18/18 Asus NVIDIA ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1080 for $579.99 Why is this sooo expensive?

It's bundled with a motherboard

For me as a garman guy this is super good. I get this card in Germany for around 670 Euros. when i buy it with this drop ill get it for around 510 Euros. So for me its a very good deal!
at the time of writing this, Nvidia has founders editions in stock for $549. The Gigabyte card has a slightly higher clock speed though. Maybe because the dual fan cooler is better?
ashiraki
Just mod it with a AIO from the GTX980 and you can get some good stuff. Better than any aircooler.
Ah, the sweet sensation of grabbing a 1080 for only $330. Thank god for warehouse deals.
I know, i'm the exception, not the rule. But those deals do exist, if you look for them.

Screenshot of it on woot.com please. I check their site daily and have never seen a graphics card.

As you wish friend :) https://imgur.com/a/NALxtEg
If you scroll down on that page, you can see who was the first to buy, which would be me. I'll be honest tho, it was a bum deal. Apparently something was wrong with the stock that they had, so they refunded everyone who bought it in a matter of hours.
I have been notice prices on MD for 3 months now, it is fucking stupid. This is another example
why don't the release any consumer gpus
Why are there trolls that bought a single knife and bitch about graphics cards like 150 comments even here. If you want Eff Off to ScamEgg who were trying to ripp you a new one and charged 1000 for a 1080 till last week. Id much rather wait and give my money to Massdrop than those monopolising ahoe scammers on Newegg and Amazon trying to scam a grand for a 500Msrp product. And FYI no one cares about you @Dalamar and your spam moaning. The question is who pays you? Are you writing an obscene ammount of comments here just because you are a C*)nt or you cant afford an 1050 and you hatin?

Newegg is a flinch better, but its like saying Trump is better than Hillary... well yeah but is it any good?
LoBoMM
I'm sorry but you're a fool if you think buying from MD at marked up prices does anything other than encourage this scamming behavior. Retailers and MD buy from manufacturer direct and don't even pay "MSRP".
MD has LITERALLY been scamming just as hard as newegg and all the others. Meanwhile nvidia and some manufacturers were selling (limited) stock at msrp off their sites.
And what does what I purchased have to do with anything? I missed a few drops incl a $1600 ones due to the short list time vs when my payment came in..got them same price elsewhere, faster shipping. MD isn't REALLY that special unless you're buying something really niche and marked up like crazy like HD800s or knives made of exotic metal.
Why do people keep buying GPUs off scamdrop? I literally saw 1080's for $550 from newegg email this week.

You pretty much need a 1080 Ti for 4k. But unless your screen is 45+ inches, there is no point in 4k. The only "modern" game I've played that ran decently at 4k (1080) is FC5 but it's not full 60 fps.
Dalamar
I was really excited for 4k, until I realized my eyesight was as bad as it is. I put on glasses for the first time last year and realized how great HD looks! lol
It was 550$ on newegg a week ago.
These are starting to show up around MSRP on the big vendor sites like newegg, amazon, etc.
So, Massdrop screwed up the package label again. Apparently my graphics card is being returned. Of course, I have no communication with them anymore after 40 emails and you can't call them. The only way I find out information is if I call the shippers. What do they compensate me with after waiting 3 weeks for my order? A $20 store credit (which I don't care about) and after 35 emails, the original shipping fee.
Did you guys get this yet? I'm still waiting on mine from the last drop. Going on 3 weeks now. Confirmed delivery for last Sat. Customer service hasn't helped yet.

That's really bad. Sorry that's happened to you.
There are 1080's going for less than $700 on newegg.

That's nice but this one is 650 and way sexier than an msi one Xd
If I order off of this drop, will I get it faster than the one I purchased? Still waiting for both motherboard and graphics card.....

What is Massdrop going to do to make this right? It's been almost a month since you charged my card. I don't want any more store credit. I don't want to spend more money here when you can't get me what I order. A refund of the shipping fees was the last you could do for the motherboard. I want my graphics card by Fri or I will dispute the charge.
Upset1
How long is this open inquiry going to take? It doesn't take this long to call them. I want an answer today as to when I will get my graphics card and what massdrop is going to do for me.
It seems like Massdrop really screwed this up on the last drop. Many people still waiting for graphics cards. Never mind me, still waiting for both. Sure didn't have a problem charging me $800 right away. Anyone else have problems last drop, leave a comment below!
Haha..Massdrop or massincrease
I bought this in the last drop, and my experience has been horrible. I would not recommend this. My package was due a week ago, and I'm still waiting on it. Also, Massdrop informed 10 days after the purchase (and shipping my order) that they did not send the graphics card. Now I have to wait a few weeks for them to get the graphics card before they ship it. It would have been much faster to go somewhere else.
Upset1
Just got an email from Massdrop. They think my package was delivered 7 days ago. If they looked at the tracking number, they would see it's still looping between FedEx locations. Also, was told they are going to ship my graphics card soon. Shipping again is marked as FedEx Smart Post. So..... I'll wait how many weeks to get this package? Still waiting after 2 weeks just for the motherboard.....SMH
Upset1
Forgot to mention, after reading their response, it appears as if they don't read emails. I asked many questions that were never addresses. Maybe they'll read these discussions... Just trying to get what I ordered, and hoping they resolve this soon.
I mean, I paid $680 for a 1080TI from here 4 months ago, so this deal doesn't seem good at all. May be due to the times though, seems to be getting worse for GC prices.

Shitpto mining is already dying. Idiots still starting now just don't know they've tossed their money. They'll see in a few months or maybe even a year and the prices will be down again.
AetherAeon
yeah I think ima wait for nvidias new GPUs to come out in a few months
A drop like this but with memory and an option for a Ryzen board would be even better.
Dread_ire
Newegg offers one with a Gigabyte Aorus AX370 Gaming K5 and Gigabyte GTX 1080 Windforce OC (same cooler but no RGB) for $50 cheaper FWIW. I purchased it myself. Got it quick. GPU has been great. Motherboard not so much. In process of an RMA. I bought an ASUS PRIME X370-A, which is awesome, and will probably sell the replacement motherboard from Newegg. Here's the link for anyone interested: https://m.newegg.com/combo/combodetail?comboId=3755683&comboType=2
High prices = bad No ecc = bad fail drop as usual
I will probably join this drop soon, would anyone like to purchase the mobo from me? I have an mAtx build so the atx board won't do for me.

Well I found it on newegg for 150, so probably that price, and I live in Illinois so we can work out shipping from there
MasterChef
Actually I looked into it and I will only see reasonable differences in performance if I get a 4k monitor, something I don't plan on doing anytime soon. So I will probably pick up a 1060 or 1070 when they do another drop.
It would be nice to have an AMD option for the motherboard. Maybe next time.
MortalKonga
Newegg offers one periodically that runs cheaper than the one offered through MD. I recently purchased the combo, which has the slightly downgraded Gigabyte GTX 1080 Windforce OC GPU (same triple-fan cooler, no RGB) and the Gigabyte Aorus AX370 Gaming K5 motherboard. Now, if you don't plan on OC the CPU or running RAM at higher speeds than 2400-2666MHz the board with the GPU is not a bad deal. I RMA'D mine as it would not support RAM rated above 2133MHz. Bought an ASUS Prime X370-A, which has been very solid running with a pair of 8GB Corsair Vengeance RGB 3000MHz RAM and a Ryzen 5 1600 CPU. Here's the link: https://m.newegg.com/combo/combodetail?comboId=3755683&comboType=2
good deal, 799 for 1080 and mobo. Pssst. Please do not tell any miner about this deal.

Is this a decent deal if I’m looking to build a whole new PC, not just upgrade the GPU? Is the motherboard pretty good for someone who’s looking to use the PC mainly for gaming and nothing super advanced?

you're trolling, right? 1050ti's cant be run in sli. They dont have sli bridges on the pcb/card at all. Nothing below a 1070 does on pascal cards. Let alone the fact your statement is completely inaccurate concerning SLI capabilities in comparison to 1080 capabilities. 970 x2 in SLI MIGHT be closer to a 1060 6GB in SOME games, but while also having less VRAM. SLI does not multiply Vram.
Ten8yp
what ever dude, i was wrong on the 1050ti's. but a regular 1080 is as close to benchmarks in pubg.
I run 2 970's and sold my 1080 for a nice profit.
$800 for a 1080, what a deal Massdrop. clap

i mean its $150-170 off comped to new egg and included a mobo so nearly $300 off. Laws of supply and demand dont give a crap for you and other Cheap-O's.
no it's really not
