Why are there trolls that bought a single knife and bitch about graphics cards like 150 comments even here. If you want Eff Off to ScamEgg who were trying to ripp you a new one and charged 1000 for a 1080 till last week. Id much rather wait and give my money to Massdrop than those monopolising ahoe scammers on Newegg and Amazon trying to scam a grand for a 500Msrp product. And FYI no one cares about you @Dalamar and your spam moaning. The question is who pays you? Are you writing an obscene ammount of comments here just because you are a C*)nt or you cant afford an 1050 and you hatin?

LoBoMMNew egg and amazon aren't scamming people. Gpu's in general are just high in demand and manufacturer's cant keep up with production, that's why prices are so high.

TankmcdankYeah they are. Look into it. Like 200 Youtubers debunked the "low supply" BS, ever read about the value of diamonds? Well its the same shit its artificial inflation by starvation of the market. They manufacture less than whats needed and then hike the prices for Mega Payout. Simple as that. Newegg fucks people over and Amazon sellers as well. Much rather leave my money here.

LoBoMMIt's not Newegg itself that's selling at jacked up prices that high, but Newegg Marketplace sellers (which are cancer) selling at those crazy prices. I bought a Gigabyte GTX 1080 Windforce OC card (pretty much same card and cooler but no RGB) in a bundle with a Gigabyte AM4 X370 mobo a couple months ago for 744.98 on Newegg, which worked out to about $610 for the card itself. Massdrop was selling this card bundled with a similar Gigabyte Aorus Intel Z370 mobo for $799.99. The mobo was $169 which worked out to about $630 for a similar card, but with RGB effects. Newegg just had a special on the Gigabyte GTX 1080 Windforce OC where it was $549 with a promo code, which is at what MSRP for this product should be (not $499 as you state). The point is, prices are dropping and they're almost to normal levels (I could get into the factors of why, but, needless to say, we're returning to normal market levels and not the "new normal") . Sometimes the prices are lower here and sometimes the prices are lower on NE. Now, Amazon has had much crazier product prices (mostly from Amazon Marketplace and Fulfilled by Amazon sellers) than both MD and NE combined.

LoBoMMSeems like you dont understand how business works. If you can make profit by jacking up prices because of demand and they still sell then why sell them at msrp when you can make 200% more profit. I'm not saying that selling 1080s for 1k is a good thing but with the mining craze people will still buy it and keep continuing to buy it. Not only that it seems like no other companies are willing to budge on prices. If the mining craze slows down and demand begins to fall then we can expect prices to drop. Got to remember that consumers are the ones who are in control of the market. Get enough people to not buy a certain product and it will drop.

LoBoMMI'm sorry but you're a fool if you think buying from MD at marked up prices does anything other than encourage this scamming behavior. Retailers and MD buy from manufacturer direct and don't even pay "MSRP".
MD has LITERALLY been scamming just as hard as newegg and all the others. Meanwhile nvidia and some manufacturers were selling (limited) stock at msrp off their sites.
And what does what I purchased have to do with anything? I missed a few drops incl a $1600 ones due to the short list time vs when my payment came in..got them same price elsewhere, faster shipping. MD isn't REALLY that special unless you're buying something really niche and marked up like crazy like HD800s or knives made of exotic metal.
