If you're building a new pc with the 8th gen Intel you only want a asrock board. Msi has bios issues. Gigabytes software is garbage. Asus has xmp issues.
Runaway4 weeks of reviews. Other tech YouTube reviews on the issues found when overclocking it. Go look it up. Its out there. In abundance.
I spent 4 weeks reviewing boards to clock my 8700k past 5 on water.
shortbuscrewThe reviews I've seen seem to show the ASRock boards in general as running a bit hot, which obviously could be a concern. Other than that ASRock does seem to be getting good reviews on the Z370 boards.
AcidtestThe customer service from Asrock is amazing. the XMP profiles for ocing is best ive seen. I was always a fan with gigabyte boards, but sticking with asrock from now. Stick to a company that makes 1 thing, and 1 thing well.
shortbuscrewGigabyte's hardware is reliable. I'd rather accept their software issues than consider the motherboard to be a point of failure. You need to pay attention to component quality on motherboards. Brands like ASRock and Biostar tend to cheap out on parts and end up failing more often.
