Guys can someone please answer? I want to use a reshipping company for this drop but i'm worried about warranty. Will i have to send it back to US if i need warranty?
Leaked email from Nvidia board to manufacturer states that the new 1180 will be released at the end of August. There's an abundance of cards that Nvidia needs to dump off. Stores as well as Nvidia have a massive amount in stock right now. The prices should be drastically dropping over the next month. Paying this price as a "deal" is a joke. Not sure what they are going to do about the hundreds of thousands of 10 series cards that are laying around, but if they don't off load them somehow their balance sheets are going to look like shit. Here's one of the dozens of articles about the email leak: https://hothardware.com/news/email-leak-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1180-august-gtx-1170-september
SuperMonkeyRumored prices for the 1180 are at $750, if Nvidia really wanted to sell off excess stock, they'd be slashing the 10 series, not selling the new series at a higher price. Besides, we all know what's going happen day one. Miners will buy up the entire stock and then blame Nvidia for not manufacturing enough.
Can you please drop a Ti in a few weeks? I WILL / WOULD purchase these if they were around in a week or two time.
People about the 11 series, have you done research? Those cards are not going to be a big improvement over the Ti.
Anyone with a Ti (who doesn't HAVE to have the latest and greatest the second it comes out) shouldn't purchase them.
Support with games will not be rampant for a good amount of time, and won't be that big of an improvement. There's not too many games that take advantage of the RAM our current cards have, let alone the supe'd up GDDR6 or whatever that will ship with them.
Clock speed has been all but confirmed... and its not that much higher. About the same amount a good overclock would give according to people I trust online who don't exercise the majority of their knowledge in comment sections.
P.S. I hate that the black are gone.
WILLxLOVELooks like you haven't done much research yourself. The fact is once the new gen is announced (which is happening pretty soon, in a month or so), the prices on the 10 series will be dropping significantly as all retailers will be clearancing the old stock out. MD doesn't bother to take that into account because by the time they ship, the price drops on 1080 tis will be everywhere, in fact, the prices are dropping already, there were quite a few sales on 1080ti already this month, at lower prices than MD offers here.
Regardless, can we give Massdrop some much needed praise for giving us cards at this price point, regardless of where you think the market is right now?
Massdrop, thank you.
WILLxLOVEMD is not giving you the cards now, at best you'll get them in a few weeks time and by then, 1080 tis will be going for much less everywhere - in fact, you already can get 1080 ti cheaper on newegg, evga and so on if you track the sales.
the last time was just earlier this month, now i've been seeing 1080tis fall within 600-650 range more often. you should keep a lookout on /r/buildapcsales
