It's hardly your place to decide for us what is reasonable when it comes to something we are knowledgable about. There's nothing wrong with splurging on a product that will do the job better than it's cheaper counterparts, just the way an artist would pay top dollar for good quality paintbrushes. You call yourself practical but practicality and reasonability is admitting that paying a little more for something that is better made can be worth it in the long run! Rather than buying a $20 pair of work shoes that will fall apart in 4 months I will pay $100 for a good quality pair that will last me 3 years. What is the problem with that?
