I want to like this, but all I can focus on after the video is that little plastic quick release buckle, the only thing that's keeping my nice and expensive (and heavy) DSLR and lens from smashing on the ground.

Can it only be attached by the tripod Mount? I have a capture clip, and I don't think I would be able to use this with it. I'd rather have it connect to the strap loops.
