Crafted by hand in Yoshikin’s factory in Niigata, Japan, Global knives are a modern marvel. Known for their lightweight and perfectly balanced design, they feature exclusive blade steel and stainless steel handles you can only get from Global. The steel, known as Cromova 18, is a blend of chromium, molybdenum, and vanadium that’s ice tempered and hardened. The result is edge retention and corrosion resistance that are hard to beat. The handles are designed hollow, then filled with sand to achieve perfect balance. To get the ratio just right, each knife is filled with a different amount. The company’s iconic dimpled texture makes for a secure hold unlike that of other kitchen knives. You’ll need to clean these beauties by hand to preserve them over time.
