Hmmm. There seems to be less bargains on Drop. I ended up getting my Combat Sub through Ashfords. Which does this for the same price. Then the last amazing watch deal I saw didn’t ship outside the US.

JeztoneI have looked at U.K. sites but like Australia they are not as competitive as the sites in U.S. I guess you just have to roll with some of the disappointments. I had 7 great deals with drop and no real issues then two watches in a row didn't come; but they did refund me ;the next one arrived okay and in good time,so I am okay with Drop.
Chrono24 is also okay , some communication problems but it depends on who or which office gets your enquiry; sometimes the person you speak with seems to have English as the second language. Which doesn't really surprise me in this day and age; but I often forget to adjust my own language to become more literal.
I will give Ashford a try as they do have some great sales. Shame covid is restricting travel back home or you could have some interesting buying trips to Italy,France or Germany, as buying in Switzerland is hard to get good deals as their average wage is so high. Hope you enjoy your combat sub, I really like the one I had from Drop.

Still not a fan of this particular model but there is market for it so probably a good watch either way.

39mm case size is too small for me. Need at least 42mm. Happy with my Airman Base 22 GMT
And about the trouble reading the watch: I just go from the inside ring to the outside: hour hand normal 12-h per rotation, then minute-hand every 60 minutes, then come the first 24-h ring shown by the red "GMT"-hand which I use for a 2nd time zone (I'm not a pilot so no need for GMT time) and finally the outer bezel for 3rd time zone. Piece of cake for me...

I don't get how Glycine is doing the GMT versions. Why not a 12 hour main dial like most GMT watches? Let the GMT hand track to the rotating 24 hr bezel. Did they just have extra 24 hour dials they need to use up?

There's a Purist version of this watch at Ashford on sale for five bucks more, and I think Ashford is an AD for Glycine.

Mister-HIt is. They tend to have sales frequently on Glycine... the cheapest I've seen something like this, including their "Doorbuster" sales, is around $420.
For reference, their "doorbuster" price for a combat 6 in 38mm or 42mm is around $280 w/o a steel bracelet (not-so-great quality leather strap, but acceptable), which seems to be one of the best price points out there. I would much prefer ordering from Ashford over a random eBay shop, but of course there are pros like RayF who know which of those are legit, I'm just not as savvy ;)

These look like discontinued models "Airman 18" is nowhere to be found on Glycine's web site. In addition, the deal breaker for me are gold hands and gold inlay in the bezel numbers. The gold stuff on a tool watch like this - derived directly from Glycine's original 1953 AM/PM Airman is fugly. Had me interested until I saw the gold - did a double-take - used Google to verify it with other photos of these models. My guess is that these are stock that Glycine couldn't sell because of that, and now they're dumped here at prices that aren't discounted from what you can get the current ones for brand new if you shop hard.

MadAnthonyWayneFrom my perspective, the gold hands/bezel was the reason I bought a 3 hander/"purist" one of these (not via Drop) about 3 years ago. I think it's a good looking and practical watch at an attractive price and it's performed flawlessly for me.

I'll weigh in if only for an alternative perspective. For years I avoided Glycine for a couple of reasons. At first, It was that I didn't feel the "need to have" factor, even though I like a number of their designs. I had read so much about perceived quality control issues since the Invicta buyout...BUT, a seemingly equal number of people were saying that Glycine kept its operations in-house and that the Invicta Group (or whatever their official corp name is) was simply doing the marketing and distribution. I had also read that their lume sucks and that there are frequent alignment issues with bezels and hands (both of which drive me nuts). So it was hard to judge one way or another.
I had come pretty close to the Drop/Glycine Soda release collaboration, but it was too big, IMO. I like the Combat Subs...except the "COMBAT" written on the dial seemed kinda, I don't know, not my style, I guess. Then I decided the Combat 6 series is a good value and I like the style...and I really like the DC-4 AM/PM due to its staying mostly faithful to the original 1953 design. So if I were to buy a Glycine it would be one of these, but only when caught on a super sale.
Fast forward to an online AD having a sale a few months ago and offering the DC-4 for $360. I jumped at it. Figured it was worth the gamble...I mean, it's $800+ on some AD sites.
At under $400 it's a good value. Fit and finish is excellent and it retains that 1953 feel when you look at it. It's running within COSC. The GMT hand lines up perfectly. The lume is WAY better than I expected (lasts all night if it's charged up). Swapped out the factory NATO (which was fine, but not $800 fine) for a Marine Nationale elastic band and it's become my primary bang around casual watch this summer.
I honestly think many of the complaints about GMT hands not lining up properly come from people who don't realize the GMT hand is on a 24hr rotation.
IMO, $800 for the DC-4 is WAY too much, it's not an $800 watch. I think $500 is too much, but under $500 for any of the Airman watches probably represents decent value.
The only two things I don't love about it: The bezel lock's teeth and the bezel's teeth don't interlock in a position that perfectly lines up the 24 at "noon". It's only off by one notch, and that's only about half a millimeter, but I can see it even if nobody else can. The other thing is, I'm not in love with the cyclops, which I've already door-jambed, causing a flea-bite of the AR to be taken off...but that's on me for wearing it as a beater.
Anyway, I suppose this is my very long-winded way of saying: If you like a Glycine offering and the price is good enough to underscore your level of interest, I'd say go for it. I was expecting moderate disappointment, but was pleasantly surprised.

I think these glycines are a waste of money period they were a decent watch at one time now forgetaboutit look at steinhart Seiko Hamilton anything but this crap

mhipno anymore used to be one of my favorite watches im not sure if it’s invicta or sellita but there’s way too many problems one poor guy had 3 watches break inside 12 months the combat subs I have I’ll keep forever might even pay a premium to get another one in new condition with an eta

I doubt they changed much of the manufacturing process after Invicta purchased the company. Esp for a small brand like Glycine. More like, "perception/marketing (can) kill style & value". Crazy how prices on these watches crashed overnight after Invicta came in.

Admittedly I'm not the biggest Glycine fan (I've always found their line up just a little confusing), but can anyone in the know tell me why I'm not able to find any of these models on Glycine's own site?

Invicta didn’t change the logo that was changed way before They took over there was a lot of old stock new logo eta’s for sale not to long ago really cheap they were decent watches for the price back then like $349 now I wouldn’t pay $150 for any glycine now and on this site even if they specify eta 25 jewels they send you 26 jewels sellita crap

True on the logo.. I believe it's the result of acquisitions // a lawsuit with Armani.. Quick timeline:
2014 - Glycine is acquired by a market expansion group, "DKSH"
Aim is to get more penetration into the Asia markets.
2015 - Glycine switches from crown logo --> "winged crown"
Summer, 2016 - Invicta consumes Glycine
Summer, 2017 - Armani Exchange files lawsuit against Glycine/Invicta
Fall, 2018 - Court decision requiring Glycine to abandon "winged crown"
Summer, 2019 - Glycine successfully appeals, ability to produce "winged crown" again.
