BrtoYes I tried a variant of this at Gnomon Watches yesterday. It looks smaller than my Sarb 035 cos of its busy dial! See the piece on the far right, pardon my lousy shot as I didn't have time to frame it and line the watches up to my taste.
But I am getting it nonetheless. Such a good deal.

JoysimathI see from your picture that Gnomon has the new Steinhart Marine Regulator. What did you think of it Also, is that Seiko SARB 38 or 40mm?

JakeRobertsI like the design, size and display case back. What I don't like is its lack of water resistance and no lume at all, making it a pure dress watch.
That's a Seiko SARB 035, 38mm case

JoysimathI was interested in the Steinhart Regulator, but I'm leaning towards the one from Christopher Ward, if I can find it. Oris also has a nice diving regulator, but its more expensive.
I see what you mean about the SARB looking bigger because of its simpler dial. I was on this drop for the standard GMT, but pulled out because 39mm seems small. I recently installed a battery on an old Swatch Solely Irony chrono that's 40mm and I found it small when I put it on... granted, the smallest watch I own besides the Swatch is 42mm. I can't decide if I should roll the dice on the Airman 18 or hope that the Base 22 or the Combat Sub drop again.
Thanks for answering my questions! : )

JakeRobertsDepends on your wrist I'd say. I have a 6 and 3/4 inch wrist and find watches 40mm and below the best suited for me, though I still have some 42mm ocean one or seiko turtle.
Your comment on it being small makes me wonder if I should pull out too...
