I can't imagine a 24 hour dial with a 12 hour sweep! Please clarify. Otherwise these are the best Airmen yet!

SnowgooseflightThe reason behind the 24 hour dial with 12 hour sweep is to display 3 time zones at the same time. It's the reason that there is the Purist model which scarifies one time zone.

SnowgooseflightSome people like the main time Ro read like a normal 12 hour dial, using only the gmt hand for 24 time reading.

Jimbo85281Thanks guys, but a 12 hour sweep should have at least one 12 hour scale/index ring to make sense. The pictured models all have two 24 hour scales.

Jimbo85281Thanks! So the four handers have a 12 hour sweep, and the three handers are purists, right? Must be monday...

SnowgooseflightLol, you got it. I don't like the 4 hander because the tail on the hour hand is pointless and it's kinda strange they didn't get rid of it.

Jimbo85281I thought I'd read that the trail points to the non Zulu time in the afternoon? (So at 20:00 the trail points to 08:00 so 8pm). Always seemed tenuous but looks more distinctive than the purist hands. Like this but just got the sst purist
