The Glycine Airman Airfighter is loaded with functionality, and backed by more than 100 years of watchmaking expertise. The dial is teeming with complications, but each serves an important function. The Airfighter can track time in three different time zones. The first is your current time zone, indicated by the hour and minutes hands. The independently operated GMT hand tracks the time in two separate time zones: one is shown on the inner bezel, the other is indicated by rotating the stainless steel GMT bezel. Unscrew the crown at 4 o’clock to release the bezel lock. Once you’ve selected your desired time zone, screw it back down and it won’t budge.
Note: At checkout, choose between the 3921.396.TB22, GL0047, and GL0049 models. Quantities of each are limited.
A new take on the conventional chronograph layout (with pushers at 2 and 4 o’clock), the Airfighter features a sliding chronograph actuator at 9 o’clock. To start and stop the chronograph, simply press the lever up until it clicks. Slide it the opposite direction to reset it. The watch is powered by Glycine’s GL754 25-jewel automatic movement, which vibrates 28,800 times per hour and has a 46-hour power reserve. Flip over the case and you get a peek at the decorated movement. Engraved on the movement is a Glycine airplane, harkening back to the company’s military roots.
The Glycine Airman Airfighter features a 46-millimeter stainless steel case and a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. At 5.3 ounces, it offers a sturdy feel on the wrist. Pair that with a thick (fabric or leather) strap and a butterfly clasp, and you’ve got a watch that’s built to last. Plus, with 200 meters of water resistance, this watch is suitable for diving.
