I'm confused about how this watch works. The Glycine site does not explain it.
As I understand the normal Airmen, the hour hand is normal 12 hour, and uses the twelve lumed pips to display a 12 hour time. A second hour hand, not present on these watches, keeps 24 hour time, usually set to GMT. The bezel is offset from the GMT hand for a third time. So a pilot can keep track of GMT, starting city, and destination.
This drop's description seems to say that you get two 24 hour times, the hour hand and the bezel. Are the 12 pips just for decoration? Why not 24?

CloacaOn this watch, the hour hand does one rotation per 24h, instead of 2 per 24h. You can rotate the bezel to make the hour hand point to a different hour on the bezel, therefore giving you time in another time zone. The 12 pips are the location of the normal hours on a 12h rotation watch. On this watch though, they aren't marking hours 1, 2, 3, ... but 2, 4, 6, ... If you had big luminous pips for every hour on this watch, you'd get a big pip at minute 2 1/2 that would disrupt the reading of minutes and seconds. Read my detailed description of GMT vs Purist on the SST12 thread. https://www.massdrop.com/buy/glycine-airman-sst12-automatic-watch/talk/1731268

CloacaThe Hour hand makes a full circle in 24 hours (unlike the hour hand in a standard watch that makes full circle in 12 hours). E.g. when the Hour hand is at the "usual 6 clock" location, the time is actually 12 noon. I know, heck of a confusing watch and quite unpractical IMHO. The beauty of an analog watch is to be able to tell the time at a glance. But not with this watch.

WatchDoctorYeah, the one where the main hour hand is 12 hour I could use, but this one would go in a drawer. On a daily basis I couldn't deal with the cognitive code switching. I think I would have no problem with an einzeiger though.
