jilgilAre these pre invicta or post invicta manufactured? I like the idea of pre invicta although there is probably no difference.

lobsterI doubt these are post-invicta as it's too soon for anything to change. I think these are NOS pieces being cleared out, there is a lot of inventory dumped into Grey markets for a while now. Glycine will soon "redo" their lineup and relaunch all of them with Invicta management, wait and see.
So the question stands, what is the source for these watches? are they directly from Glycine, and if they are NOS, how long has it been since they were manufactured. This is important to know how long the movements have been idle and how soon they may need a service, especially since this model has been around for several years now.

The sst appears to be listed as part of their current collection, but the refresh was done back in 2006 or so I think.
So unless manufactured date is confirmed with serial numbers, the watches we are getting might be upto 10 years old and it's going to need a service right away. I wouldn't consider a 2-3 year old watch NOS though.

jilgil@lobster @StainlessOnly The vendor has let us know that these are not NOS, they are newly produced Glycine's.
Glycine is being produced in the same factories they have been since before the acquisition, and nothing will change with the quality due to the acquisition.

jilgilThe indicator of when they are post Invicta acquisition is when they start to offer a genuine imitation Corinthian carbon fiber version on the shopping channel. Buy 'em now....
