To reiterate, yes it has a Sapphire crystal on the front crystal, and Mineral on the display back. It also has the GL224 movement, which is an ETA 2824-2. It is hacking, as well as hand-winding, and feels very refined in my opinion. With these specs, at this price you really cannot go wrong.
I have had this for a little while now, and absolutely love it. I paid around $325 for it, so this is a great price for the quality you are getting. I have the black dial model (GL0122) that came on the olive strap. I wasn't crazy about the strap quality, and believe that a better quality NATO/Zulu strap would be in your best interest. It does have nice signed buckle that you could transfer onto a different two piece strap if you prefer. Attached is a recent photo on a milanese bracelet from my old Citizen, it looks AWESOME and gets a lot of compliments. The case has both brushed and polished areas, so it is versatile with strap hardware if you have both types. The case is fairly slim, so it sits nicely on the wrist, especially on this milanese bracelet.
If I had to nitpick, even on my ~7.25-7.5" wrist the 43mm is just a touch larger than I would have preferred. I usually stick with 40-42mm, however I think this is only because of the style of watch this as a diver, for instance, would wear smaller. The lume is good on the hands, but very dim on the hour markers unless it is well charged. I do like the hour and minute hands, but for some reason the second hand looks a touch out of place. It is hard to put my finger on, but I think it is just how much of a stark white it is against the black dial. On the flip side, legibility is great due to the contrast so you might love it. In my opinion, just a touch of grey would been a more suiting color.
All that being said, everything else about the watch is perfect. It has great style, and can be dressed up or down very easily. You can't go wrong for $279 for this one.
