Looks great, but 43mm? Man, that's big for a GADA field watch. Let's have another run at the 36mm offering.

highbobAgreed. I’d buy this up in a second if Massdrop offered the 36mm version

NaturalmassWell, it's not an Airman--it's a Combat--but if it's big enough, I would agree that it'd make a great pilot's watch. And there are plenty of watches that are based on earlier fliegers, but which have been downsized for reasons of practicality and style--Stowa has the Flieger Klassik 36, which is based on their larger, legit fliegers, but has been downsized for cranky old(ish) men like yours truly. My left wrist runs a little over seven inches, and it's moderately flat, so I can wear 42mm or so, but I prefer 36-38mm sizing for any watch without a timing or numbered bezel. Glycine's original take on this watch was more of a field style, circa 1967--see their website--whereas the Airman was definitely a pilot's watch. But hey, whatever you enjoy. Wear what you like, how you like.

Notice the showcase or both airman and combat 6 vintage on pilots wrist. Be an airman.
