BogdanstaI think the 3908.39R.TBA9 is with the old logo before Invicta and the GL0092 is after the Invicta acquisition but the pictures in the description are the same and when i search for 3908.39R.TBA9 (http://www.glycine.pl/glycine-combat-sub-2-tone-burgundy-3908-39r-tba9.html) i get 50/50 old and new logo so probably someone from Massdrop can clarify?

swiftsword69Yes guess it might be different straps. The last characters of the reference serve as a strap designation. It's the case for the 2 versions of the goldeneye for instance. TBA9 should stand for a leather and black fabric straps. The other version should come up with a standard black NATO strap.

tblt.robertBut still the two images are the same and the nato strap should look like the one on the "stealth" just in black plus for the goldeneye only the last 2 characters - 'A9' and '99' are different and i agree that this is probably the strap.

tblt.robertJust a heads up so there's no miss information, in case some of these models are available again before the drop ends. What you are saying about the models discussed above might be correct but regarding GOLDENEYE, 3863.399C6.TBA9 shows up as the old glycine logo while 3863.399C6.TB99 regards to the new glycine logo, so its not just straps but instead two different models.

SapitIt looks like a letter/numerical designation at the end is for the strap only. Glycine catalog makes this clear on the page where straps shown. At first I thought the new GL00XX designation is for watches with the new logo, though I've seen some new logo watches with the old long model numbers. That's all somewhat confusing... Also GL00XX watches on Glycine website said to have "flat sapphire with 3 layers of antireflective coating on the underside" while the old logo Glycine' catalog from 2014/2015 does not say that. I hope someone from MD buyers team will clarify what we would be actually getting in this drop.

brainwaveFollowing up on this, and only (!) talking about the goldeneye models, after digging around some more, i'm now sure the different designations represent indeed different models and not only straps.
Quoting from an user of a very respectable watch forum
" The Goldeneye sold isn't the same as most seen on ebay currently. It's model number : 3863.399.C6.TB99 instead of common ebay number :3863.399 C6-TBA9. The difference are the new Glycine logo (more eagle looking than the old crown), the mention "automatic" on the dial, comes with black NATO strap and the overall watch is a bit thicker. These are all the differences as far as I'm aware. My guess is these are the new "invicta-owned" production. "

SapitTo clear up some confusion... 2014/2015 Glycine catalog on the page 94 has all then-current Glycine watch straps photographed and labeled. The designation TB9 stands for the black fabric NATO strap with silver buckle/hardware, the designation TB99 stands for the same black NATO strap with the black buckle/hardware. The Golden Eye is pictured there with TBA9 fabric/leather combo strap. Current production Golden Eye indeed uses some new design elements along with the new logo. The word "Automatic" is added btw Combat name and "SUB 20 ATM" on the dial and the date window now has an outline. Glycine designers made some subtle changes to a few other Glycine models this year, adding removing outlines to date windows, to indices, adding or removing some text, etc. This has nothing to do with the new logo or new ownership - Glycine did it before every couple of years. Other watch manufacturers also routinely do that as a part of yearly production evolution.

BogdanstaI asked MD but they don't know differences between these 2 models. I ordered 3908.39R.TBA9 and I hope that is old crown logo model. There are more differences between old and new model - crown/wings logo, 22-22/22-20 bracelet, no AR/AR coating, drilled/non drilled lug holes, different lugs and crown guard shape (new model is more massive). But there are also mixed models where some parts are from old and some from new model...

Mad.MikeThis is the point i was trying to get across.. i'm in the same boat, i believe 3908.39R.TBA9 is the old model with the crown logo so we should be good

Mad.MikeAlso, the minute hand is about 1mm longer on the new models and on some models with new logo and an outlined date window they removed short lumed marker near 3 o'clock position. You're right, it looks like Glycine used old stock parts on new logo watches until this old stock depleted and only after that they renamed watches to GL00XX.

brainwaveI didn't noticed that there is different minute hand length. So maybe I should go into new model (I like long hand much more) but... even if we receive old model we can get long minute hand - check out MD pictures: 3863.399C6.TBA9 crown logo - short minute hand, 3863.38B6.D8 crown logo - long minute hand (and different lume shape) . And all "GL00xx" new models are short minute handed. Insane.

Mad.MikeI personally interested in two models in this drop: 3863.38B6.D8 silver/gold case with blue face, blue bezel, blue rubber strap and 3863.399C6.TBA9 Golden Eye. This "old-new logo" problem does not bother me at all, it is just a matter of taste and I'm OK with both. What I find desirable is the old case with sharp rolled lug ends, drilled lugs, slim crown guard, 3 o'clock marker and face without the date frame. It appears there are currently three Combat Sub models with the similar design. Original old logo Glycine models Ref. 3863 look as pictured in 2014/2015 catalog, the transition models marked with Ref. 3908 and new models with Ref. GL00XX.
The original... that is - the original and true, new GL00XX everybody can see on Glycine website. The most interesting is the transitional model Ref. 3908 . It uses dial with the new logo, word 'Automatic' added, longer minute hand, date frame outlined and no short lumed marker at 3 (on 3908.38B6. D8). It also mixes new / old cases and crown heads / straps with both new or old Glycine logo.
This eBay dealer has some very good pictures of Ref. 3908. Look for non-stock images and look at caseback for Ref. number. http://stores.ebay.com/Iguana-Sell-Store/_i.html?_nkw=Glycine+3908&submit=Search&_sid=358920427

brainwaveMy combat sub arrived today. Longer minute hand, wings logo chrome, white outline date window, black rubber strap (old crown relief ) but also with the drilled lugs. My Vanuatu is a def 42mm. This case is 41 tops not 42 mm
