Finally got it today! (I live in Canada). Some initial thoughts:
1. What a stunner, everything feels too notch for the head of the watch. The bracelet could be better but you can always go aftermarket.
2. The bezel aligns perfectly and the click is super satifying (I'm sucker for nice bezels). No play on the bezel either. Colour me super impressed.
3. The winding feels super smooth for an ETA 2824-2. I own a Longines Heritage Diver that uses the same movement but the Combat Sub feels much smoother - definitely a plus in my books.
4. The lume is pretty good. I've seen better but it's definitely good enough for me. Take a look at the picture.
5. This watch is THIN! Wow I didn't expect that at all again considering it's an ETA.
Don't know how ell the movement is regulated right now - will update in a day or two with the plus/minus
In conclusion, I am super impressed with this watch, especially at the price Massdrop had it at. Thank you Massdrop and Glycine!
The size is perfect for anyone. I have a rather small wrist at 6.5 inches. I can definitely see someone with larger wrists wearing this as well. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get into a Swiss diver :)
PS: thank you Massdrop for using DHL to ship this. The duty into Canada was less than I anticipated.

jonnynathyI purchased a similar model and am impressed with it as well. Thought I had read somewhere in these threads that the Arabic numerals on the watch face weren't lumed so I was pleasantly surprised when I found the opposite to be true. Great drop and a great price. Cheers!

jonnynathyI got mine about a week ago here in Canada too. I have had different watches and when I saw this drop, I wanted to try one. Originally I wanted the Golden Eye but that was gone in no time. So the white is what I got.
Bezel is all lined up and the watch is thin as what Jonny said. For my smaller wrist, the watch fits quite well with the lugs slopes downward.
Some slight faint lines on the bezel insert but I couldn't bother to send it back.
I timed that after the first day but unfortunately it was timed +25.2 seconds per day. I hope that is because it is new. I will time that again.
The white leather strap is thin and probably gets dirty easily. I put a white perlon on for now until I figure what is good for the white face.
The lume is not very strong and I think I am ok for now.
Anyway here's a few shots. Some with the white leather straps.

cyberwarholUpdate: I am getting about a gain of 10s a day, which is more than my other ETA 2824-2 (+4 seconds/day). I'm not complaining but I'm not too impressed, but at least it's a consistent 10 seconds so I guess I can regulate it if I want - perhaps a future project

jonnynathyI will check that again soon and see if the movement settles down.
This model has the old crown logo (which is what I want) so the watch is a slightly older model. The movement might not been running for a while.
BTW here's my lume shot.

cyberwarholLiking the white perlon strap you've got there!
I, too, have the white face with gold/brown bezel and white leather band and although I'm loving the combination, I'm thinking about getting another strap for the sole reason of the leather one being so sensitive to dirt.
What manufacturer/brand is your perlon strap? How's the quality? I found DaLuca offers some that look similar to the one in your pictures but I don't know anything about them and their quality.

YouRikCongrats. The more I look the more I like the colour combo.
The white perlon is from cheapestnatostraps.com The quality is not the best but the price is good when they go on sale. And they have many colour choices. Otherwise I have not tried anyone else yet except Eulit.
Do let me know when you found something nicer.

Superdude71I paid around CAD$37, and I am in BC. It really depends on the carrier, DHL is one of the better ones among the couriers. FedEx gimped me pretty hard last time. There is a calculator somewhere that tells you roughly what you can anticipate to pay from each courier as they all have different brokerage fees and whatnot
