DgeblerNice! Just missed out on this drop - how much was the watch for and do you think it will drop again soon?

DgeblerHey Dgebler, any bezel play on yours? Got mine today and has a bit of a bezel play. Also, the bezel is a bit springy, as it has a slight vertical movement when pressed. Not sure if all of this is part of how the bezel should be.
Thanks.

sinmaxTo be honest I am still getting used to the feel of different bezels on nicer watches...not sure if I would say mine has planned (sorry play...no delete in this editor) but definitely not as tight as some cheaper watches I have from Orient, but similar to my Borealis bull shark. Also, not sure my wrist sixze but smaller than average, sixe medium glove; The picture makes it look larger than it actually wears imo.

DgeblerI just got this model delivered today.
Frankly, I was surprised at how ... dainty it is. It's really thin, something I didn't pay much attention to in the specs. And 42 mm seems small in a dive watch, even though I'd think it's normal in other styles. The bezel is paper thin, difficult to get a grip on to turn, and you get the idea that it really wasn't meant as a tool where you'd really be using the bezel.
Overall, the watch seems like a "diver style" dress watch for wearing with a suit.
The rubber strap doesn't appeal to me, so if I decide to keep it and wear it I'll put a NATO on it. Since rubber is molded, you'd think that they could mold it in an arc shape to better fit your wrist. It's not like it's going to "break in."
There's a 48-mm version, which might be too big, and has the wrong sort of lugs for a 48-mm watch, which needs heavily down-turned lugs. And I think it also is really thin. Thin just does not say "diver" to me.

CloacaAgree with you for the most part...more of a military style with some diver influence imo...i was a little underwelmed at first but the thin profile makes wearing this watch a breeze. And i am not a fan of the thick rubber, nato all the way on this one.

DgeblerI decided to put mine up for sale at auction, and in place of it I ordered a Glycine Combat Sub Aquarius. There seem to be three Glycine Combat Sub lines, the 42-mm, thin, dainty line in this drop, a 48-mm, yet still thin, dinner plate line, and the Aquarius line, which is rated to 50 atmospheres, 46-mm, and thick, 18.6 mm, and with a ceramic bezel. The Aquarius watches are more the badass chunky watches I wanted and expected from Glycine, I hope. The design is very clean, despite the size, but you're stuck with rubber straps, however, nicer ones with a deployment clasp. The color range is very limited. Still, I went for it.
