EmmemeI received my package today and my stabilized keys on my K-Type actually feel stable now and no longer rattle. What a night and day difference the stabilizers made on this keyboard.

EmmemeI changed out the entire stabilizers after lubing them. Input club mentioned it's mainly the thickness of the stabilizer wire that is the issue, so I suppose you could just change out the wire. However, to me it seemed like the tolerances were poor on the stock K-Type stabilizers as well and I could see large gaps between the housing and the stems, so I didn't want to take a chance and just replaced the whole thing.
The black stabilizers don't really affect the appearance much. Your keycaps will cover them enough that you can hardly see the stabilizer.

EmmemeI replaced them completely at first, but I found them to be too stiff for my tastes. I went back and switched the thicker wires into the stock white stems. Now they seem closer in response to the standard keys but no longer rattle. It's my happy middle ground. YMMV, obviously.
Disclaimer: I'm not fancy; I don't clip or lube and I'm using Halo Trues with the blank ABS keycaps off of a Das Keyboard 2 because I hated the included caps. For now anyway...

EmmemeDid the same. I made 'panda' stabs by using the black stems and wire, but kept the white housing - for aesthetics and also the stiffness issue as you mentioned. They still feel stiffer than what it should be like, but far better than hearing the cheap rattle from before. I also noticed the black stems on the stabs are bigger (the length of each side of the + is slightly longer) which is great for loose fitting keys like my space bar. With the original stabs my space bar kept on coming off because the stabs were fitting loose. Overall very happy with this purchase.
