GaglSomeone needs to keep a spreadsheet of how many days late drops are. I've been fortunate and had a few drops land early, this is the first I can remember being 20+ days late.

yanfaliWhat for? I don't try that hard to be an ass, but this is really fun. Whether this drop is burnt to the ground or delayed for another 20 days, 1) that paycheck is going to be wired to XiK 's account this Friday, to thank her for all the hard work and perfect packaging she's done on this drop at the cost of few more days of delay, 2) MassDrop is going to pocket the money we paid them for the goods that were supposed to be shipped 20 days ago and/or reasonable expectation of communication, 3) fanboys like user73 are going to continue to vomit shit because they can't defend MD without dropping the f bomb thinking that's the productive and professional way to communicate, and 4) suckers like us will continue to buy from here.
LOL. Can't wait 'til the next drop.

baechooboiWe get it, you don't understand how business or manufacturing works. No no, it's fine! Just another pending threat of a negative review on Yelp as you posture to make your stance known, even when no one cares. You just keep on truckin', and you do you.

CyphreYour narcissistic comment deserves more thoughtful response than the vomit the other idiot posted. I just would like to ask, what do you do for a living, and no, I don't mean your career aspiration like, "Director of IT at a large global distributor" - I've heard that before. I am genuinely interested in speaking to you in person or over the phone and share what we do for a living, our education, and the qualities we possess that attests to level of expertise on "business" and "mfg." Sure, one person is a small sample size, but, I have a feeling that you are a very parametric and representative specimen of your kind.
You and other idiots who confuse the understanding logistics/business/manufacturing as the pre-req to purchasing something here or expressing opinion are simply as unproductive, harsh, and destructive as you find my comments to be. You refined, suave, professional, and genteel fanboys vomit shit and attack other people with narcissistic comments, and drop f-bombs, and say the dumbest shit possible, not knowing your opinion is as trivial as mine. Because you think someone doesn't behave the way you like or say things you can't agree with, you automatically presume they just don't know better than you do? If so, you are just as trollin' as I am, so thanks for your opinion and you keep truckin' and "you do you" as well. LOL.

baechooboiSure, I'll humor you. I work in manufacturing, as that is what my degree is in and I've done all my life. Mostly aerospace (as is most of SoCal), but currently resistance welding and laser equipment. Feel free to look back at my posts elsewhere as I generally come to educate others on the basics of manufacturing and how a middleman like Massdrop plays little role in that particular process. I suppose I am guilty of giving people too much credit and needing to break down the things I had thought were common sense. However, at no point do I expect anyone to meet some pre-requisite of knowledge before purchasing. There is only hope for a common understanding about how things work.
Although judging by the language and context of your posting history, you don't seem interested in anything but your own opinions. And while everyone is free to have an opinion, they play no role in the basics of manufacturing, nor should they lead to vitriol and generally bad etiquette. It makes me wonder why you're still here. If you are so dissatisfied, why haven't you moved on to other sites? Do you believe you are influencing others to take the same stance as yourself?

CyphreYou were fair, so my turn. Degree in ME, worked as project engineer for a transportation equipment company (less on mfg but more on production/ops). Then, B-School, went rogue and turned finance, so now I work in corporate development (buy-side TAS) . While you may possess the level of expertise that allows you to grasp the process better than the average man, probably not to the level that justify your propensity to judge. Also, in terms of how "businesses" work - organizationally and operationally for profiting purposes, which is why for-profit businesses exist, correct? - I am not sure if I don't make the cut by your standards.
It's entertaining, and little annoying, that I get comments like "you don't get business", when there's NOTHING in my post that alludes such. Which statement suggests that? 1) If the performance of this drop is an isolated event for an employee, she's not getting canned. There's OBVIOUSLY performance evaluation followed by company specific HR processes before anything of that nature takes place - How do I know? Because companies hate labor suits. Wages are accrued and paid in 1-week lag by avg, so assuming this week is MD's pay cycle, s/he will get her check regardless of what happens to this drop. 2) It's also true that there isn't any recourse for this delay/lack of communication. What happened with this drop doesn't have enough merit to ensure favorable ruling in the small claims court. I can't find a single UCC code that's in direct violation from what's taken place here. Neither can a consumer protection attorney. MD has done far less for far worse in other drops. 3) Skipping. LOL 4) People will come back to buy here if MD continues to provide marginal utility that exceeds customers' marginal cost. The fact that they announced delay on the day of est. ship and not provide voluntary/periodic update is what got under my skin, but still not egregious enough for me to not come back.
You claim you made your judgement by the language and context of my post history, but you mean my posts on this drop? A bit biased sample selection for a mfg guy. I am dissatisfied about this drop and this is an isolated event for me. Hell, I am part of Mito drop and haven't said shit on that drop. If this was purely out of some hate towards MD, I'd take it out on ErgoDox or Rama Spinner. Do I believe I am influencing others to take the same stance as myself? Is that my objective? No and no. You and other fanboys are just unhappy about the way I expressed the fact that profiteering of a business usually places inconvenience of isolated sample of customers at the bottom of the priority list, because the business will go on and/or businesses just don't have enough resource for everything.
Thanks for "humoring" me, in fact, I am a bit relieved that you aren't some 25-year old kid with a BS degree from some local for-profit college whose illusion on business is completely based on his/her previous miserable failures on start-up attempts that no VC even ever cared for. I'm so going to regret this post...absolutely cringey, but I appreciate your response and I'd like to demonstrate that I do care about your opinion.
