so i have the NerD 60, which is the 60% version of this board. A few notes
- The PCB and plate allow for a HHKB-like right-side (2 buttons where the backspace is, space for the Fn to the right of shift) - These cases are thinner and lighter than most cases because it's polycarbonate that's pretty thin; acrylic this thin would easily snap and break. My top and bottom plate are both 1.5mm. - Because they're thin, the keyboard does flex if you don't put extra feet in the middle. (Which is fine for the polycarb - your typing, not so much) - The recessed holes for the screws are spot-on and beatiful - the screw doesn't poke out from either side of the case. - IMO this is one of the prettiest cases/PCBs you can buy without designing your own. - Remember that the side LEDs (on the bottom of the PCB) are to be soldered so that they face sideways, not down. - The on-pcb backlight LEDs are annoying to replace if you solder on a dead one. This is because you'll have to remove the plate to get at them, and that means desoldering all your switches - (!!!!) I also have the bluetooth module for my NerD 60, and it connects to, and works well with my iPhone and Windows, but I can't get it to stay paired for more than a few seconds on my mac (not even long enough to finish the "identify this keyboard layout" prompt). I've tried using alternative bluetooth adapters, and took a look at the bluetooth logs, and they say something about failing a handshake. - I've only been able to program the keyboard under Windows. I can't find the nix tools, even though they're referenced - There are only two fn programmable layers (three total programmable layers) - I personally tune my switches myself (because I like gateron linears), but switch tuning is a very time consuming process, and I think that the $100 for the switches for the switch + tuning is a reasonable price.

brandonwangYour post is extremely informative, thank you
I recently decided to use the infinity 60% PCB + a custom 3d printed plate instead of a Nerd60, the nerd plates are all universal, therefore: too many unnecessary empty areas
The bluetooth issue should also be a show stopper for many, better use cables instead
About switch tuning, I find it to be the most fun and easiest part of building a keyboard, especially if you only lube the switches, it can be done in an hour or so - especially for one-piece stems (clear, brown, red, black etc.) - the clicky switches are a different kind of beast tho, in my opinion, they require tedious segmentation and selection
