Designed to keep you warm and cozy while resting at camp, these Goosefeet Gear down socks are made of 10D nylon and insulated with 850-fill-power premium goose down. The fabric is DWR-treated and 100-percent downproof, offering a soft, pleasant feel against the skin, while the down is treated with water-repellent DownTek to stay drier longer. Elastic ankle cuffs seal out the cold when you’re kicking it in your tent, hammock, or cabin. Because the liner and shell use the same lightweight material, these socks come in at 1.6 ounces (in size small). For the same reason, they’re not as suited to frequent walking as heavier-duty booties.
Note: This drop is for one pair of Goosefeet Gear Down Socks in Forest Green with standard fill. Sizes are available in S – XL. At checkout, you’ll have the option to upgrade to 50% down overfill (+ $7) or 100% overfill (+ $12) for extra loft and warmth. This drop is limited to 100 pairs of down socks.
Ben Smith founded Goosefeet Gear during his third year of college at the Georgia Institute of Technology. The company started with down socks, and soon added waterproof over-booties and pillows. Today, 6 years later, its product line includes everything from down jackets, pants, and vests to sleeping quilts—all made by hand here in the USA.
