Would it be a good choice for TH900 or should I look for something else?

freddiSorry for not getting back sooner Freddi... I've been floating in bliss with this new set up. Previously I had an Aune T1 tube DAC that I used. It did a decent job with the TH900s with the lows and mids, but the highs were extremely bright and somewhat grinding to listen to at times (felt like I was hearing too much of the high). The Grace it has definitely tamed the highs; they are still there and beautifully clear, but not overly bright to where you begin to cringe. With the Grace I can listen for hours without feeling fatigued and my music has never sounded better. I am hearing things on well known tracks that I've never heard before. I've played around with the settings, and have settled on F1 & F3 filters (but really not a huge difference), and the cross-feed works well, especially with live recordings. The Grace definitely has the power for the TH900s (I'm usually listening in the 60 - 70 range, so there is room to go louder if you need it for those special songs). It is also dead silent and sits like a block on my desk doing nothing, except for what it was designed to do... produce amazing sound. I have always loved the Grace Design products, so I'm a little biased in that respect. I also haven't listened to the other DACs that were mentioned as alternatives to the Grace, but this DAC more than fits my needs, and I am one happy camper. I'm a life long audiophile, but not so much a techie, so I really am judging the listening experience more than anything else. If you want more of that type of feedback, you'll need to go elsewhere. Let me know if you have any other questions.
