I sure would like my previous question answered about the throat space and a rolled up queen quilt. It just seems a little shallow and I am not sure how you would move about once you have 1/2 of the quilt finished. Are there any videos or pictures anyone can share that shows this?
SandyLucasThanks Sandy. I wasn't asking about the frame. I was ask I ng about the Janome. While it looks to be a decent machine, I looked it up and the throat is 9" small projects will work okay but 9" is too small to roll a queen sized quilt and be able to move any distance. Long arm throat sizes are usually 14 to 18 I chest minimum.
Claynjazz5You will have around 4-5" of quilting space available with the take up loaded when using a mid-arm machine such as this Janome model. Not as much as a long-arm but only a fraction of the price and definitely better than a domestic sewing machine. Larger patterns can be split into two parts to work around this.
