The tomahawk has been in the hands of armed warriors for centuries, but chances are you’ve never seen one quite like this. Made from a thick chunk of A2, a tool steel characterized by its toughness and abrasion resistance, this 10-inch tank weighs 1.5 pounds Read More
I have a Razel fixed-blade pocket knife made by the Graham brothers about 10 years ago. It was a custom-order I placed directly with them, and it's absolutely beautiful. Still one of my favorite knives.
One thing to note, their stuff is (historically) all hand-made, which is where a lot of the pricing comes from. This isn't mass-produced in a big factory. It's hand-made by craftsman artists (my knife is a work of art, if you ask me).
I had to look them up, curiosity got the better of me. They do make some crazy looking stuff! I still don't get the pricing on some of these pieces, but their stuff sells even at prices way higher than this

OK, I have to ask - how do those holes make it more aerodynamic? Lighter, sure, but...?
Other than that, I agree that this is a hefty price for something with a rather limited use.
I'd have to handle one to draw a definitive conclusion, but my first impression is this hawk is a toy for the same guys who wax long and poetic about their awesome cold steel and SOG knife collection.
These are too short to get a decent chop, and too heavy to ensure you'll get gassed quickly.
I'll pass, till I hear otherwise from a reputable source. Especially at that ridiculous price.
