Can it be used for non-ultralight loads, like 40+ lbs? What is the maximum recommended capacity that the frame can handle?

35lbs is probably the max. You can get away with starting a trek a couple lbs up in food and water weight, but the comfort with weight above 35 is compromised. Our Nimbus and Lutsen are better for heavier loads.

The Nimbus is a far superior pack to the Lutsen, hence the $200 price increase. The Nimbus overall is an incredible pack for all weight loads.
