Seriously people? You can get this cheaper on Jet.com with the 15% off code they always have (free shipping as well). I actually purchased this from there without trouble. Anyway, the tablet itself is high quality for the price, but the tip is starting to squeak, they give you like 4 extras though, so no problem. The only problem is the software you use it with. The tabletdriver.exe pressure sensitivity test looks really good and has a wide range of pressure drawing. GIMP and Blender only use the end of the pressure range, not the entire 2048 range.
CybotiveThank you! It looks like it's about $38 after shipping and taxes there.
I don't mind ordering from massdrop and waiting, but the shipping is just too much in this case. Plus, I'm buying this for my sister and she leaves to London on the 22nd.
What programs would you say work best with this tablet? My sister works with canvas, paint, and charcoal most frequently. She hasn't been involved in her art lately, so I figure this would be an interesting way for her to get back into it.
CybotiveThanks for this. I was able to get it for $33.85 after waiving the 0.91 cents free return fee and saved an extra 1.5% for paying with a debit card.
OdusDon't know if you've already found out for yourself, but I think GIMP works the best for the pen, but there's a lot of bugs for me. Like the cursor will be way off where the brush is, which will be fixed by completely restarting GIMP.
ssyangCool. I kinda feel a little bad about referencing another store to get it from for cheaper. But at the same time... It's facepalm-worthy, either Monoprice charged Massdrop too much, or there's too much of a profit margin.
