I have a few items from this line and recommend them for almost anything. Where I would rate them under Stainless or Cast Iron would be the upper heat ranges allowable. For instance, I wouldn't try to sear a steak in one (on a range) or put them in 500 degree oven to roast a chicken. Other than than that, you'll love them.
I'm confused. It says the drop comes with lids, but in the order page, you can order additional lids. Why would you need more lids than you have pots/pans?
