Hey, backpack designers.
You see that thing at the bottom of the pack?
It's not a waist strap. Those exist just to keep the pack from bouncing around.
No, that's a *hip strap*, and it's designed to allow the weight of the pack to ride on your hips just like a big backpack.
Those things are AWESOME if you've got neck or shoulder problems, or just carry too much stuff (like 2 laptops, a kindle, a spare cellphone and a REAL camera plus a rain coat...). I don't have one of these, but I've got a Jansport Odyssey 49 liter that has one, and when moving through an airport it's REALLY nice.

The Miwok 18 is the only backpack of its size that has a true waist belt, not just a thin strap. I love this pack and if I lost it tomorrow I'd buy another right away. What better endorsement?

blueklisterTo be pedantic, it's a hip strap (rides on the hip bones when weighted) not a waist strap (that tightens across the waist and keeps the pack from bouncing).
Hip straps are better.

Hello everyone! I was consider the '18' model to be used as a backpack. I usually carry a 13inch lap top, a couple of note books, and maybe a medium sized textbook or two. Would it be good for this purpose? Thank you for your time!

I've had this pack for almost three years now and I really like it (though I spent over twice this much!) The only issue I've had is my USP 45 started wearing a hole in the inside pocket, but it's really not designed for that so I can't complain.

The vendor informed us that the group's order was picked up and is on its way to our warehouse. Based on the tracking provided, the order is scheduled to arrive 3/3.
Sometimes shipments get delayed en route, but we will keep the group updated throughout the fulfillment process and notify you all if anything causes delay.

Thanks again for joining this drop! We have submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Gregory Miwok Daypack and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them. The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 3/8.

Was going to pull the trigger on the 24 liter pack, but after shipping and tax it's about 70 cents cheaper than Amazon Prime, but will take a *lot* longer to ship. I'm going to pass. It looks great though!

SWestbergI was thinking the same thing. It's even cheaper on another site, especially with a new customer discount on your first order. If it was significantly cheaper, then I'd be all over it.
