I have had the Octal 58 medium for a month and hiked about 90 miles, with a weight load between 28-30 pounds. It is a good, solid pack that carries VERY well. I fit a BV 500 in the 58L horizontally with no problem. I also like the fact that the top lid can be removed and that the rain cover is included. I am 5 ft 4, weigh 138 and have an 18" torso. I only have one con, I wish the hip belt pockets were bigger. I can fit my Samsung S6 Active in the pockets, but there is no room to spare. I know some people don't care about hip pockets, but not having them is a deal breaker for me. I want to snap picks at a moments notice and also want to carry snacks where I can reach them. I would definitely buy this pack again.
